Discussions are now taking place with the Friends of Castlegar Parks and Trails to include the Bridge as part of their Trail network in and around the Castlegar area. In addition, a resolution from the Regional District of Central Kootenay has been passed which allows for the Brilliant Bridge to be included as part of the Trans Canada Trail which goes through Castlegar and will join us with this exciting National Trail network.
The re-construction of the Brilliant Suspension Bridge will be a significant Cultural Tourism attraction for the Castlegar Area and an integral part of the vast trails available.
